MA

Operation American Soldier (OAS) was created by John and Wendy Rocca when their daughter Tracy was in Iraq and became 501(c) compliant in 2008. After hearing that some of the other soldiers weren’t receiving any support from home, they wanted to help. They asked for some names and addresses to ship to. Each box contained a letter from Wendy and John asking if there were any other soldiers that need support. Well the list of soldiers grew and grew.

They have shipped to more than 1500 soldiers, 100000+ pounds of cheer so far!

OAS exists to support and encourage the Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen/women  of the United States Armed Forces. Our goal is to “Let no one walk away from mail call empty handed”. As long as there are wars/conflicts in which our troops serve, Operation American Soldier will ship “cheer boxes”.

Originally, they worked out of their home, but as the organization grew, they moved to their current location, Pvt.Charles J. Shutt Det. (Marine Corps League) Located at 215 Mt. Auburn St. Watertown, MA. Please check back often to see updated drop off locations and contact information!
